CERAGEM Research center was now certified as a UL WTDP (Witness Test Data Program) & CB-TMP (Testing on Manufacturers Premises) from UL Korea (Underwriters Laboratories Inc.). This is the first time among the medical heating device manufacturers and the 5^th among the medical equipment companies in Korea. It was presented with the official certification on 10^th Sep 2009. The presenter was Mr. Young-Joo Lee, an Executive of UL Korea.

Therefore, CERAGEM now has the authority to obtain the UL and CB/CE certifications with the test data acquired from its self in-house test carried out by its own researchers using its own equipments and devices for the medical equipments (UL/IEC/EN60601-1) it manufactures under the inspection of UL Engineers.

As for the certification presented to CERAGEM this time round, it was done under strict examination by UL Korea in every area including equipments, manpower and manuals. Therefore it can be said that CERAGEM’s equipments and test devices in its research center are as good as UL test center, and also of the quality of the researchers in carrying out the tests.

Up until now, such international certifications processes were commissioned to 3^rd party organizations. So it’ll be so cost and time saving when such a process can now be performed within CERAGEM’s research center itself. And as there will be lots of opportunities to co-work with UL expert engineers, more technology transfers can now be anticipated.

This is a direct result of CERAGEM’s continuous investment and interest in R&D.

The center head, Mr. Byung-Won Choi pledged that the test environment will continuously be improved to produce precise test data to be in line with the company’s aim to make 100 billion won revenue. He also commented on the center’s next plan; to focus on obtaining the certification for CTDP (Client Test Data Program).
